NO MORE NIGHT SHIFT FOR BC/49 WINNER WHO QUITS JOB

Richmond – A 41-year-old Burnaby man has quit his job of 19 years after winning the BC/49 jackpot.
Raymond Knopper had no plans to retire from his job stocking shelves at a local grocery store until yesterday, when he learned he had matched 6/6 numbers on his BC/49 ticket to win the $2 million top prize.
"My co-workers couldn't believe it," said Ray, who worked the graveyard shift at the Real Canadian Superstore in Burnaby.
"They all said they've never known anyone who had won this much money. I'll miss working with them, but I sure won't miss working nights."
Ray says he plans to buy a house, a new car and maybe take a trip "somewhere warm".
The lucky ticket was purchased at the Austin and North Road Esso in Burnaby.
BC/49 is a BC-only lottery game drawn on Wednesdays and Saturdays after 6 p.m. (PST) that gives players a chance to win up to $2 million for $1.
