CULPEPER MAN WINS $52,000 PRIZE IN WIN FOR LIFE GAME
April 9, 2009
Louis Montalvo of Culpeper didn’t believe he had a winning ticket. He bought a Win For Life ticket from the Virginia Lottery for the April 1 drawing. The next day, he gave the ticket to his wife and asked her to check the numbers. When she told him they won, he thought she was kidding. He later said it took him 20 visits to the Virginia Lottery’s Web site to finally believe the ticket was a $52,000 winner.
He bought the winning ticket at the 7-Eleven at 520 James Madison Highway in Culpeper.
The ticket matched five of the first six numbers plus the Free Ball number in the April 1, 2009, Win For Life drawing. The winning numbers for that drawing were 8-9-11-15-21-32 and the Free Ball number was 4.
Mr. Montalvo said he plans to invest his winnings.
Win For Life offers a top prize of $1,000 per week for the life of the winner. Drawings are held Wednesday and Saturday nights at 11:00.
